Jerome Bruner. A psychologist beyond any border.

Autori:

Jerome Bruner’s death reopened the remarks and praises on his absolutely fundamental contribution to the development of educational and psychological thought. In this latter field, besides the appraisal of his being in the forefront of the most relevant paradigm changes in psychology history, the Author adds his refusing systematic, all-embracing theories, his preferring confrontation and cooperation beyond any border between research lines, between disciplinary fields, between natural and human sciences. Towards the goal of studying human beings in their richness and complexity, Bruner offers both such a concrete perspective as narrative thought analysis, and a general basic attitude: not as a scientist closed up in a laboratory but as an intellectual who aims to offer, together with many others, his own contribution to the progress of knowledge as a human and a social conquer.
